Slovenian LIFE project Renov-AID highlighted in a new EU publication: Giving LIFE to Europe’s clean energy transition
The Slovenian LIFE project Renov-AID has been selected among 28 projects of this programme featured in the new European Commission publication Giving LIFE to Europe’s clean energy transition.
The publication was officially presented at the 2nd round table of the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition, in the presence of European Commissioner for Energy and Housing Dan Jørgensen, and highlights projects that contribute to accelerating the clean energy transition across Europe through concrete solutions.
As stated in the publication:
“These projects, ranging from local energy communities to multinational cross-border policy solutions, are improving lives and transforming communities. Through these stories, you can see the direct impact of the LIFE sub-programme on key areas of action that are accelerating the clean energy transition, competitiveness, and the EU’s energy independence.”
LIFE Renov-AID project is presented in the publication on pages 38–39 and is recognised as a good example of developing a “one-stop-shop” (OSS) model for comprehensive residential building renovations, bringing together municipalities, public financial instruments, professionals, and support services for homeowners.
We are pleased that the Slovenian project has been recognised at the European level as a good practice example contributing to the EU’s goals in the fields of energy efficiency, climate neutrality, and the reduction of energy poverty.
