IRI UL presented the SocialNRG project on Radio Trieste

Today at 12:30, IRI UL briefly highlighted the role of energy communities as an innovative approach to the collective production, use, and management of energy in a conversation with Pavel Volk on RAI Radio Trieste.

We presented the SocialNRG project, which places a particular focus on social and non-profit housing, where energy costs and household energy vulnerability are often proportionally higher. The project combines technical solutions with organizational approaches and actively involves residents and other local stakeholders in the co-creation of energy solutions.

Special attention was given to the pilot project in Ravne na Koroškem, implemented in cooperation with the NGO Focus and the Ravne Housing Company. In addition, the project includes partners from pilot sites in Italy and Belgium. Our shared goal is to develop approaches that can be transferred to other neighbourhoods and, in the long term, integrated into policy discussions on more effective ways of addressing energy poverty.
