Kosovo Delegation Visit
On Tuesday, March 4, we hosted a delegation from Kosovo at IRI UL, where we shared our experiences and presented the key areas of our work. The purpose of this visit was to exchange knowledge and learn from exemplary environmental sustainability policies and initiatives in Slovenia.
Prof. Andrej Gubina, Edin Lakić, and Jure Vetršek introduced initiatives in the field of the circular economy and green transition strategies. The discussion focused on energy efficiency, sustainable building renovations, and innovative technological solutions for environmental sustainability.
IRI UL presented its interdisciplinary approach to connecting academia, industry, and policy for sustainable development. Key topics included energy management, the adaptability of renewable energy systems, and deep building renovations, with a special emphasis on Slovenia’s experience in transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
At the end of the presentations, an interactive discussion emerged, enabling an in-depth exchange of ideas and opening new opportunities for international collaboration.
