HAVEN Consortium Meets in Denmark
Following the second project meeting in January in Porto, the HAVEN project consortium met again on July 8 and 9 in Denmark, specifically in the city of Roskilde, where the Risø research center is located. Risø is part of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), one of the project partners, and also hosts one of the project’s three pilot sites.
The meeting began on Tuesday morning in an auditorium named after the renowned Danish physicist Niels Bohr. After a welcome from the hosts and the project coordinator, the consortium first addressed Work Package 8. This was followed by a report on Work Package 2, which had been concluded the previous month. IRI UL played a visible role in this work package and used the presentation to showcase a custom-developed tool designed to support the preliminary techno-economic feasibility analysis.
In the afternoon, the consortium continued with discussions on Work Packages 3 and 4, visited the pilot site, and officially launched Work Package 6. The day concluded with a joint dinner in the center of Roskilde.
On the second day of the meeting, IRI UL once again played an active role during the presentation of Work Package 7, where the preliminary feasibility analysis is being further developed and business models for the project’s main product are being designed.
The meeting confirmed that, after eighteen months, the HAVEN project is well-structured and progressing according to plan. The strong foundation established during the first half of the project will serve as a solid basis for the upcoming activities in Work Packages 5 and 6, where the project’s innovative product – the hybrid energy storage system – will be finalized and brought into operation.
