There are quite a few energy information systems on the European and Slovenian market for real-time measurement and analysis of energy consumption parameters. With the existing systems, however, we can not fully exploit the potential of savings, especially those that could be achieved by predicting the response of buildings (for example, taking into account future weather conditions or occupancy of buildings). The development of analytical tools for optimizing the performance of building systems is the task of an interdisciplinary group of students, mentors and the economy. The project relates to the energy efficiency of the new FKKT UL and FRI  building of the University of Ljubljana, as well as the development of a simulation model for reducing the cost of operation of the building.
