PrEVent addresses the growing cybersecurity threats facing electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and grid-connected mobility systems. The project aims to deliver Europe’s first end-to-end cybersecurity framework for the e-mobility ecosystem, aligned with regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the NIS2 Directive and the ISO/SAE 21434 standard.
PrEVent pursues seven strategic objectives:
- establishing a unified, scalable cybersecurity framework for EU e-mobility;
- preparing against advanced threats through CRA-compliant guidelines and a Post-Quantum PKI;
- detecting anomalies using an AI-enhanced Digital Twin with real-time monitoring;
- responding rapidly with AI-driven decision support and Over-The-Air mitigation;
- validating system resilience through penetration testing and simulations;
- demonstrating the developed innovations across diverse real-world scenarios;
- sustaining long-term impact through stakeholder engagement and exploitation strategies.
The project’s solutions will be validated across four real-life pilot sites in Europe, covering car-sharing, public charging, logistics and bus operations, over 12 work packages.
